Dear Sambag,

Would you rather date a guy who was lukewarm about your personality but thought you were gorgeous or lukewarm about your looks and loved your personality? Why?

Immanuel

Dear Immanuel,

The second one. Looks fade away with time. And you can’t really build something long term with someone who might be attractive but has the personality of a brick wall.

It’s odd, but often true: people whose personality is what attracts us tend to become more physically attractive to us the more we’re around them. Their bad hair, or the fact that their eyes aren’t quite even can, in time, become something quite sexy about them.

Here’s a great quote from Amy Pond, Doctor Who: ”You know when sometimes you meet someone so beautiful, and then you actually talk to them, and five minutes later they’re dull as a brick. But then there’s other people, and you meet them and you think ‘not bad, they’re okay’, and then you get to know them, and their face sort of becomes them, like their personality’s written all over it, and they just they turn into something so beautiful…”

But I’ll stop there and let our readers weigh in. Please share your Comments/Thoughts below.
