Homophobic rapper Tyler the Creator appears to come out as gay on his new album track — or is he simply trolling everyone?

His upcoming album Scum F**k Flower Boy is scheduled to come out next week, but it’s already leaked online and the lyrics to several songs have made fans believe he’s about to reveal he is a closet case.

According to High Snobriety:

The most interesting takeaway from the leak is the album’s lyrics, which can be interpreted as Tyler coming out. As well as pointing out the album’s name itself perhaps being indicative of this, Twitter users highlighted bars such as, “I been kissing white boys since 2004? on “I Ain’t Got Time,” and the album’s seventh track “Garden Shed,” featuring Estelle, where Tyler raps, “That was real love I was in, Ain’t no reason to pretend” before spitting “All my friends was lost / They couldn’t read the signs / I didn’t want to talk / I tell ’em my location and they ain’t want to walk” later on in the song.

So far, Tyler, nor his team, have responded to the speculation behind the lyrics, but Twitter is giving a mixed of slew reactions between shocked, as well as some claiming that Tyler’s potential sexuality news doesn’t seem like a surprise.

On numerous occasions Tyler has spoken about being gay on Twitter, something many people believed the artist to be joking about. “I tried to come out the damn closet like four days ago and no one cared,” he wrote in April 2015.

When Kendall Jenner wrote on the social media platform “apparently we’re dating,” regarding a fake story online, Tyler responded: “Not possible, we’re both gay.”

Tyler has previously been criticised for his repeated use of the word “faggot” in songs. He previously defended himself, claiming, “I’m not homophobic, I just think ‘faggot’ hits and hurts people”.
